Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in South Gate, California. This short-term project involves supporting payroll operations and ensuring accuracy in timesheet audits. The ideal candidate will bring precision and focus to their work, helping maintain compliance and efficiency. Responsibilities: - Review and audit employee timesheets to identify potential discrepancies or meal penalties. - Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures during the auditing process. - Conduct detailed checks on data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies in timesheets. - Collaborate with team members to verify and validate payroll information. - Enter and update payroll data efficiently into relevant systems. - Provide administrative support to the payroll department as needed. - Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information. - Contribute to the seamless execution of payroll operations for the duration of the project. Requirements - Proven experience in human resources or payroll-related roles. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in data. - Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with payroll systems. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members. - Understanding of payroll policies and procedures is preferred. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
