Role Overview


Sodexo is seeking an Food Production Manager for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center located in Boston, MA . In this role you will oversee all procurement for the Food Services operation in a 750+ bed hospital, supporting 3 separate kitchens and 3 retail outlets across both campuses. The Manager works primarily early morning and day time hours Monday-Friday, but will need the flexibility to work as the manager on duty every third weekend.

What You'll Do


  • lead the purchasing across 3 kitchens in partnership with the Executive Chefs to support all food services
  • implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for the hospital
  • maintain food and health & safety logs within Sodexo and hospital guidelines and requirements
  • provide direction to all front line associates

What You Bring


  • experience in a food production setting, healthcare environment would be a plus
  • strong financial acumen, and experience with ordering and inventory management

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
